We cut this section out of the hillside in order to create a beach area down by our pond and dock. The dirt was used to fill a nearby gulley. The flattened beach area now holds water and topsoil, which will drive up soil fertility over time. These machines did the work of several thousand men, over 2 long days. The cost was a bargain, almost no matter how you look at it, because the land is permanently improved.
